If you are looking for a quiet place to think about the infinity of the universe and the near park does not provide something tasty to eat or drink, this café is the right choice for you. This is the place to be if you want to expand your horizons of artistic (mostly graphic) feelings since you can enjoy Vernissage or exhibitions in the café. And last but certainly not least: the moon shines here even during the day 🙂
The Literary Café called Měsíc ve dne (Moon during the Day) is situated near the Poliklinika Sever and Na Sadech Street. The interior consists of nontraditional renovated furniture; the designer Jakub Albín included for example the local old piano. The bar has the form of an uncommon part of the living wall and, among other things, offers good mescal, vodka or absinthe. Another part of the café is Budějovická kavárna ve tmě (Cafe in the dark), where a group of blind undergraduates works. They “guarantee the darkest coffee and an unrepeatable experience.“
How to get there?
This café is located in the city center near the public transport stop “Poliklinika Sever”. The café is, like many other Cafés and pubs in České Budějovice, within acceptable walking distance from the main square (i.e. Přemysl Otakar II Square).
